We are delighted that you are considering sending your child to The Avenue Pre Preparatory School & Nursery and we aim to encourage you with your decision, and make the process as straightforward as possible.
The Avenue Pre Preparatory School and Nursery is non-selective and children may join the Pre Nursery in the term they become three years old. Thereafter, children progress to Morning Nursery and then on to Reception followed by Years 1 and 2. However, children may be admitted to the school in any term if spaces become available.
If you are considering sending your son or daughter to our Pre-Prep or Nursery, please come and visit. We would be delighted to take you on a tour of the School and introduce you to our staff and children.
All tours of the school have been cancelled for the foreseeable future. We apologise for any disappointment.
We do hope that you will visit our school, as there is no better way of judging whether this is the right school for your child unless you see and witness the education we provide. You will be able to observe the school in action and experience the fun and exciting way in which we challenge and inspire our children to reach their full potential. We will introduce you to our staff and there will be plenty of time to ask questions during your visit.
Tours take place on Tuesday mornings and commence just after 9.30am throughout the year during term time. The visit can take up to an hour, depending on those attending, therefore we respectfully ask that no children attend these tours.
Please contact the office directly to book a tour by phoning 020 8348 6815 or clicking the button below and filling in the form. We will ask you your child's date of birth, who will be attending the tour and a contact phone number. A member of staff will then get back to you with more information.
Parking in the street is restricted between 10am and 12 midday but fortunately we are very close to Highgate tube station and on 134, 43 and 263 bus route.

We are very proud of each and every child’s personal achievements and successes, and many go on to selective schools in the north London area. In the last 3 years, pupils at The Avenue have had offers from the following schools: Arnold House, Belmont, Channing, Cavendish, City Girls, Dwight, Haberdashers, Hereward House, Highgate, Keble, St Anthony’s, St Christopher’s, Northbridge House, The Hall and UCS.
We always enjoy welcoming back former pupils and families for visits to the school.
