Rachel Bright visit to the Avenue

We were all delighted to welcome the eminent children’s author Rachel Bright in School on Wednesday, helping us to celebrate World Book Day.  Rachel spent time with the Nursery and Reception children first chatting to them about her books and reading one of her stories. She then joined Year 1 and 2 for a very enjoyable and interactive session, demonstrating how to draw a gecko and reading one of her books - the Gecko and the Echo. We all thoroughly enjoyed Rachel's visit and the children were inspired to be authors too! Thank you Rachel!
